What is Conservation Is Fun?

Conservation Is Fun is a conservation experience that brings people into nature to connect, celebrate, and take action together.

We believe celebrations can be rooted in what sustains us: nature, community, and our connection to the Earth. Through shared experiences in nature, we make conservation engaging and joyful, showing that caring for our planet can, and should, be fun.

Each edition brings together music, art and colour, adventure and hands-on conservation in restoring natural spaces. Because people protect what they feel connected to, CIF creates experiences that give people a platform to build connections, restore the environment and leave every place a little better than they found it.

Conservation Is Fun is beyond conservation. It is a colourful tribe.

The roots

Mark It With Trees Edition: Oloolua

The inaugural edition of Conservation Is Fun was the Mark It With Trees Edition at Oloolua, held in May 2026 to mark Mental Health Awareness Month.

It brought together nature lovers and members of the GreenGen Tribe celebrating their birthdays, to connect with nature while raising awareness of the role natural spaces play in supporting mental well-being.

At Oloolua Nature Trail, the GreenGen Tribe planted 2,000 trees to reclaim a stone quarry, turning a once-bare wasteland into a green space.

Colour. Games. Music. Tree planting and a bingo card kept everyone exploring, playing and making new friends.

Getting outside, getting involved and having a good time, while leaving the land better than we found it.
