These Event Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) apply to registration for and participation in events organised, hosted, co-hosted or supported by Green Generation Initiative (GGI) (“GGI”, “we”, “us” or “our”).
By registering for, purchasing access to, or attending a GGI event, you acknowledge that you have read and accepted these Terms.

Event Registration
1.1Registration may be completed through the designated GGI registration platform or an authorised event partner.
1.2Registration is personal to the participant and, unless expressly permitted by GGI, shall not be transferred to another person.
1.3Participants are responsible for providing accurate and complete information during registration.
1.4GGI reserves the right to verify registration information and may decline or cancel a registration where information is materially inaccurate, fraudulent or misleading.
1.5Where an event has limited capacity, registration will be subject to availability and may close once the available capacity has been reached.
Tickets, Fees and Payments
2.1Where an event requires payment, the applicable registration fee, taxes, charges and payment conditions will be communicated before registration or purchase.
2.2A registration or ticket is valid only for the event, date and participant for which it was issued, unless otherwise stated.
2.3Participants should retain their registration confirmation or ticket and present it where required for admission.
2.4Any applicable cancellation, transfer or refund conditions will be communicated as part of the specific event information.
Event Changes and Cancellation
3.1GGI may, change the event programme, speakers, venue, timings, format or other arrangements.
3.2GGI will make reasonable efforts to communicate material changes to registered participants through various communication channels.
3.3GGI may postpone, reschedule, relocate or cancel an event where circumstances make this necessary, including circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
3.4Such circumstances may include severe weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, government restrictions, security concerns, industrial action, infrastructure disruptions or other force majeure events and any arising matters beyond its control.
3.5Where an event is cancelled or materially changed, GGI will communicate the applicable arrangements, including any refund or transfer options where applicable and required by law.
Participant Conduct
Participants are expected to contribute to a safe, respectful and inclusive event environment.
Participants must not:
- engage in harassment, intimidation, discrimination, violence, nudity and promiscuity, contraband use or threatening behaviour;
- disrupt presentations, discussions or other event activities;
- damage event property or the property of other participants;
- engage in unlawful activity;
- impersonate another person or provide fraudulent registration information;
- distribute unauthorised promotional, political, commercial or other materials; or
- engage in conduct that may reasonably endanger or compromise the safety, dignity or wellbeing of others.
GGI may refuse admission to, or require a participant to leave, an event where their conduct presents a safety, safeguarding or material disruption concern.
Safeguarding
GGI is committed to safeguarding children, young people, vulnerable persons and all event participants.
Any safeguarding concern, suspected abuse, exploitation, harassment or other inappropriate conduct should be reported to the designated GGI event representative or through GGI's established safeguarding reporting channels.
Where an event involves children or other protected groups, additional safeguarding requirements may apply. On Children and Guardian Responsibility, where children or persons under the age of 18 attend a GGI event, they must remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent, legal guardian or designated responsible adult at all times. GGI does not assume parental or custodial responsibility for any child attending the event.
Parents, guardians or designated responsible adults are responsible for the child’s supervision, conduct, safety and welfare during the event, including ensuring that the child complies with applicable event rules and safety requirements.
Photography, Video and Audio Recording
GGI or authorised event partners will photograph, film or record events for documentation, reporting, educational, communications and promotional purposes.
I agree that GGI can use information I provide, including my interests and engagement with GGI activities and content that may capture me, to tailor communications and share information for use in visibility, marketing-related and communication and other digital channels.
Where a participant is specifically engaged as a speaker, panelist, performer or contributor, separate consent or release arrangements may apply where necessary.
Personal Data and Privacy
7.1GGI may collect and process personal information provided during registration or participation, including names, contact details, organisation, professional information and event preferences, as reasonably necessary for event administration and related purposes.
7.2Personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable Kenyan data-protection law and GGI's Privacy Policy.
7.3GGI will use personal information for purposes communicated to the participant or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
7.4If a participant may wish to revoke their registration and exercise applicable data-protection rights, including rights relating to access, correction, objection and deletion, subject to applicable legal requirements and limitations, you can change them at any time in your account.
Event Communications
8.1By registering for an event, participants may receive essential communications relating to their registration, including confirmations, programme updates, venue information, promotional or marketing communications updates changes and other information necessary for participation.
8.2Participants may manage or withdraw marketing communication preferences through the available communication channels, subject to applicable legal and contractual requirements.
Intellectual Property
9.1GGI, its partners, speakers and other contributors retain ownership of their respective intellectual property, including presentations, materials, photographs, videos, trademarks, logos, publications and other contents, material or property considered its intellectual property by GGI.
9.2Event materials provided to participants are intended for personal or organisational use in connection with the event and may not be reproduced, commercially exploited, mutilated, vandalized, defaced, distributed or modified without the appropriate permission.
9.3Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of GGI's intellectual property or the intellectual property of event partners, speakers, contributors, participants or any other legal body.
Participant-Generated Content
10.1Participants may share their own experiences and content from GGI events, provided that such sharing does not infringe the rights, privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, brand identity or dignity of others.
10.2Participants remain responsible for content they create or publish.
10.3GGI may request the removal of content where there are reasonable concerns relating to safeguarding, privacy, intellectual property, security, brand identity or other legitimate interests.
Health, Safety and Security
11.1Participants must comply with reasonable health, safety and security instructions issued by GGI, venue management or authorised event personnel.
11.2Participants are responsible for taking reasonable care of their personal belongings.
11.3GGI is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
11.4If need be, participants can inform the event team of any reasonable accessibility or participation requirements as early as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be considered. Any such request shall be considered at GGI’s discretion and subject to GGI’s capacity, resources and ability to accommodate the request. GGI shall have no obligation to grant or fulfil any such request.
Third-Party Services and Venues
12.1GGI may work with venues, technology providers, ticketing platforms, transport providers, accommodation providers, sponsors, partners and other third parties in delivering an event.
12.2Third-party services may be subject to additional terms and conditions issued by the relevant provider.
12.3GGI will not be responsible for matters outside its reasonable control arising from an independent third-party service provider.
Links and External Platforms
Where GGI provides links to external websites, registration platforms or third-party services, those platforms may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
Participants should review the applicable terms before using such services.
Accessibility and Inclusion
GGI seeks to make its events accessible and inclusive.
Participants who require reasonable accessibility support are encouraged to indicate their requirements during registration or contact the event team in advance.
Children and Young Participants
Where an event is open to persons under 18 years of age, additional participation, consent and safeguarding requirements may apply.
Parents, guardians or responsible adults may be required to provide consent or accompany minors where specified in the event information.
Prohibited Commercial or Promotional Activity
Participants may not use a GGI event to conduct unauthorised commercial solicitation, fundraising, recruitment, advertising, distribution of promotional materials or other activities unrelated to the purpose of the event.
Exhibitors, sponsors, partners and approved vendors may operate within the scope of arrangements agreed with GGI.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, GGI will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from participation in an event.
GGI shall be responsible for any failure or delay in its performance of an event due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to, labour disputes, strikes, lockouts, shortages of or inability to obtain labour, energy, raw materials or supplies, war, riot, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, an act of God (including but not limited to fire, flood, earthquakes or other natural disasters) or governmental action (including but not limited to any law, regulation).
Complaints and Feedback
GGI welcomes feedback concerning its events.
Participants may raise complaints, concerns or suggestions through the contact details provided for the relevant event or through GGI's established feedback and complaints mechanisms.
GGI will seek to address legitimate concerns fairly and within a reasonable period.
Changes to These Terms
GGI may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in its events, operational requirements or applicable law.
The version applicable to a participant will generally be the version made available at the time of registration, unless a subsequent change is required by law or relates to an operational or safety matter.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Kenya, unless otherwise expressly stated for a particular event or required by applicable law.
Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be addressed through the applicable dispute-resolution mechanisms and, where necessary, the courts or other competent forums having jurisdiction in Kenya.
